Details:
To put the music of Jake Roche into one genre would be missing the point. He is a musical chameleon, able to adapt for each performance. He is influenced by artists ranging from Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, to U2 and My Morning Jacket. He is part singer-songwriter, part art-rocker and does all of it with a sense of truth and intimacy.

Jake recently finished recording his debut album "Just survivin'", backed by some of the finest musicians in Portland, Maine. It is an incredibly well rounded album. His wide range of influences abound effortlessly, while maintaining Jake's original and refreshing sound.

His brutal honesty in his lyrics make his music touching and real. He has clearly been influenced by great songwriters. Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes). The melodies are timeless, his music simple but captivating.

Jake will be touring extensively to support the release of "Just Survivin'" He has most recently been a featured artist on Garageband.com.

Jake's show is something every fan of live music will appreciate. He plans on playing as many live shows per year as he and his band can handle.

Jake says he would love to record a record or more every year for the rest of his life. If "Just survivin'" is any indication, music fans can only hope that he does just that.
