Life... what an intricately paradoxical concept. Simplicity at its best yet with so many complexities that it blows your mind. For those of you like myself, whose mind is like a little hamster on a wheel that never stops spinning, there exists an endless amount of questioning and contemplating on how to actually live life and why that way. In the midst of questioning I then become confused and frustrated all the while setting myself up for more disappointment because of all the unanswered questions. Yet, out of nowhere come those moments of life that, for lack of better phraseology, simply take your breath away. Those simplistic joys of life that are beyond description. They come randomly and in the simple form of a conversation with a friend, a smile from a stranger, or the setting of the sun. It is in these brief moments that everything does make sense and you are at peace. It is because of these dueling tides in life that I must agree with C.S. Lewis when he says, "I have found a desire in myself that no experience in this world can satisfy; the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." It is that belief in another world that brings into my life the paradox of peace and frustration and that is what my music is all about. That is what I am all about. How am I to live a paradox? I have many questions and a few answers, but mostly just a desire to change. A desire to live. A desire to be who I am designed to be; whatever that might look like.
