Jamel's BIO

Jamel Robert Ellis was born to Ricky Ellis and Margaret Gregory on March 9,1978 in Harlem ,New York City. He was raised for a short while in New York, but then his family moved to Richmond, Va. Jamel knew from a very early age that he liked making people laugh. Most of his peers called him " grandpa" because he had a very old spirit. His family and friends always said that he was a funny little guy from a very young age. Jamel tried many things, but it wasn't too long before he knew comedy was his true calling. God gives us all talents and gifts and Jamels was comedy. God knew that Jamel was special so he gave him the gift to make people laugh. Jamel has done so much in his life, but the one biggest accomplisment was when he was the headliner at Richmond Comedy Club in Richmond, VA. He was the headliner at The Chuggers Comedy Club. He has also went out and auditioned for Star Search and Coming To The Stage. He has also performed at The Funny Bone in Richmond,VA.

Jamel has also went to Las Vegas to audition for USA World Showcase which was seen worldwide on Pax Cable Tv. He won second place in the comedy division.He has also met Katt Williams (from Friday After Next)and John Witherspoon (from All the Friday Movies also Wayans Bros.) Show on the WB Network.

His main goal is not about money or fame but, that everybody in the world can witness his talent. He LOVES what he do and he thanks God for his gift everyday.
