SPOKEN WORD: Poetry
Details:
âThe cleverness and depth of Jane Ormerod's presentation both challenged and mesmerized the audience. Descriptive yet judicious and yet seductive is how I would describe her word choice and its affect on everyone.â
- Art Comments, July 2006
âA gritty and gutsy postmodern poet.â
- Metro Silicon Valley, January 2007
Born on the south coast of England, Jane Ormerod moved from London to New York City in January 2004. Her poetry and prose has appeared widely in US and UK publications including Failbetter, Eratio Postmodern Poetry, Arsenic Lobster, Dirt and Poetz.com.
Jane is now a regular on the New York poetry and spoken word circuit, performing at venues such as Cornelia Street Cafe, Bowery Poetry Club, The Stone, and Galapagos Art Space. In January 2007, she toured the west coast - from Vancouver, Canada, to San Jose - with Lisa Dewey as part of the Perpetual Motion Roadshow.
