Jenaé Paden was born in Philadelphia, Pa on October 31, 1985. She is the eldest of four siblings. Born into a family of singers, Jenae began singing at the age of nine. Her fearlessness and persistence pushed her to the forefront and she became the lead singer in the family group. There was no stopping her. Her fun-loving personality and gift of song enabled her to perform at weddings, high schools, and other local events throughout the Philadelphia area, where she has won several awards and competitions including talent shows hosted by West Chester University. Her most recent accomplishments were being one of the finalists in the Vickie Winans Talent Search Contest and a contestant on the Channel 57âs (UPN) Gimme The Mic competition.

Jenae considers herself to be the new gospel voice of the urban streets. Her sound, a unique fusion of R&B (SOUND) and gospel, is contemporary, soulful and deeply spiritual. Remaining true to the inner city, she desires to be an instrument for winning souls by using her voice to bring the Word to the streets. Paired with her producer, Noisette (Saint Man) St. Jean, she has produced an album âSo In Loveâ of songs that speak to the heart of people of all ages. Recently, she teamed up with her Manager (Director & Writer), Minister Joshua Coates â Elders Board Management, and from that union came the âSo In Loveâ Album release party, tour and urban Musical.

Admittedly, people may initially be more moved by the hard beats than the gospel content in her songs, but Jenaé argues that not even hard beats can stop Godâs message from shinning through.

Countless gospel artists have made strides into secular arenas with increasingly contemporary R&B tracks, including some of Jenaeâs favorite artist such as Mary Mary, and Yolanda Adams. She desires to do the same.
