From the ashes of the Black Tuna Gang, The Other Guys, Cucumber Forest, Mutant Roadkill, Codename: S.O.D.A., The Healers and Jerks In Jeans comes the hell raising quartet known simply as Johnny Mohawk and the Assassins. Formed Halloween 2004 by Johnny Mohawk (vox), Gary Piston (bass, vox), Karaoke Bob (guitar, vox) and Scotty Mnemonic (drums), J.M. & A. set out to establish themselves as a punk rock contender with songs like âLetâs Get Drunk", âDickie Drives A Yugo" and âAmerican Punk".

As the shows increased, so did the opportunities. Soon, they were signed on with indie label JIB Machine Records based in Cleveland where operations were just starting to gain some momentum. Then, in late 2005, Scotty was replaced by The Chad (formerly of A Whole New Beast and Angrybird) on drums just in time for the whirlwind month of January and its various dates. The addition proved to be for the better and the force known as Johnny Mohawk and the Assassins has been getting tighter and more dangerous with each pass.

The band's long-awaited debut CD, "Drinking As Always", was finally released via JIB Machine Records on 2/27/07. The guys are now ready to take their show on the road so be sure to catch them when they're in your town!!!
