He-e-e leads me
in the paths of righteousness
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He leads me
every step of the way
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He loves me
enough to take me all the way
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He loves me
and covers me in grace
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
His mercy
is following me
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He houses me
for all eternity
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He feeds me
only great food
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
My shepherd
repairs my broken soul
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He-e-e goes with me
through the dark land of death
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He comforts
through His training of me
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He shields me
from winding up hurt
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He vindicates me
and empowers me
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He-e-e tells me
I am safe in His love
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He shows me
all the pride in my way
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He takes me
where I never could go

for His nameâs sake
to death with Jesus

I looked long
for an answer
Long I held Your hand of mercy
You were all ⦠I had God
I was so alone
inside my wounded soul
lies that I was of no use
You knew me
in my mother
way before this world destroyed me
You knew who I really am
Oh You loved me for who I
truly am
and You waited for me to come alive
By Your grace
I am alive
now reborn ⦠as You intended
Iâm so free ⦠in You Lord
Wings of joy ⦠now lift me
way up high
I soar beside You ..
The One who set me free
Praise You Lord
You are faithful
Oh most high ⦠I bow before You
You made me who I really am
Holy God .. who is .. like You
Oh Owner
Forever I will give You Praise
Judgment Comes
Recorded Thursday, March 31, 2005
#8
Judgment comes in all its splendor
Power glides smoothly into its place
Now we will see who is the killer
and who is the righteous one clutching to grace
Silence is now your commander
Waiting is sensual .. Thinkingâs set free
No need is there now running for cover
Youâve long since decided your destiny
Judgment comes riding a comet
charring the atmosphere .. wracking the land
Now you will know time is no factor
and neither is anything made with your hand
Judgment comes dressed like a curtain
swinging his sickle .. reaping the earth
Now you will see who is the owner
And what all your rational wisdom is worth
Judgment comes walking like lightening
over the mountains .. touching the sky
Now is too late to talk with your maker
God does not hear your penitent cry
For silence is now your commander
Waiting is sensual .. Thinkingâs set free
No need is there now running for cover
Youâve long since decided your destiny

Wind
on these hills
Is fair chargin through the trees
Let it come
I know the one who calms my storms
He is humble
Heâs gentle
He is my own true lover
Let it then come nigh
It cannot bother me
Love
is a word
Yet it vibrates in my soul
Like the eyes
Of my meek and lowely man, so sad
He is honour
Heâs glory
He covers me in mercy
Let Him then take me
And brush me with His mouth
Bold
On the throne
He is ... gentle to me
In His arms
I am so free
I feel light as air
I am filled up
With passion
And gushing sweet songs of joy
Oh worship spills out like
The laughter of a child
Wind
In this room
God is blowing us away
With His voice
Thereâs so much awe
And reverent fear
We shout glory
Salvation
Belongs alone to our God
Reign Lord, forever
Oh Holy is our God
Looking Out on Autumnsâ Harvest
#10
The Sunâs rays
resting on the window
looking out on autumnsâ harvest
We breathe in
the sweetness of the cool air
We are people joined together
in the blood of Jesus
This shepherd
overcame our differences
In Godsâ mercy we have
come to know the joy of oneness
This master
overcame our blindness
with his blood and body
With his sacrifice he heals us
This moment
comes to us in wonder
We can feel Godsâ peace around us
Such glory
Godsâ love is truly awesome
It wraps us up in peace and love
until our hearts are humbled
Sweet Jesus
Take control we give to you
all we are and have
You have bought us for the Father
Oh Master
We would bow and worship
There is no one like you Jesus
Praise! Hallelujah!

Time for wine in crystal glasses
Time for love like sweet molasses
Time for joy thatâs here to stay
Itâs time for peace that will not fray
God give these feelings a pretty face
that this manâs eyes long to embrace
God give desire a gentle form
to soothe my spirit .. to keep life warm
For Life looks on to better times
She just ignores my pantomimes
See Life awaits a sacrifice
Itâs resurrection that melts the ice
Itâs time for crimson, yellow, gold
When latter rains Godâs plans unfold
Itâs time the lady dressed in white
Trusted God with all their might
The daylight fades â¦
Quickly comes the night
This is Godsâ Work of Wonder

Move over here.. Love
Next to my shaking form
I feel you.. deep inside of me
and I would.. entrain your eyes to mine
I feel your trust.. Love
It greets inside me.. such longing
ooh I would.. cover you sweet girl
This is Godâs work.. of wonder
The scent of your.. skin
the touch of silken arms
like your eyes.. wrap me up in joy
and I would.. live all my days with you
I hold your breath.. Love
inside like treasure.. like jewels
ooh I could.. soar up in the sky
This is Godâs work.. of wonder
The hours slip.. by
Time has no meaning now
Loves passion.. builds a lovers world
and we would.. remain here for all time
I feel your heart.. Love
It beats in me with.. such longing
ooh I would.. cover you in praise
This is Godâs work.. of wonder

Time to Wear That Dress
Sunday, September 05, 2004
#13
Whatâd you think, that Sunday was My day?
Who told you such a lie?
It isnât ⦠rest comes at the end
cuz rest is the real thing
Trust Me ⦠Thatâs when youâre complete
Your values just wonât get it done
My ways are not your ways
Christian ⦠come back to the way
Rest is narrow, straight
cuz God is in command
and He donât share the rock ⦠with no man
Take the gift ⦠Your works just make me mad
Love cost me everything
Your virtueâs just a menstrual rag
Quit acting like itâs life
Trust Babe ⦠Then weâll get it on
I love you. Let Me have control
I can change your heart
Chorus:
Sweet girl ⦠Itâs time to wear that dress
Our weddingâs finally here
My body and blood are all you need
Let go of all your works
A pure bride ⦠is one who walks in trust
and boldly leaps into the fray
Come Love and follow
My bride ⦠come back to the way
Rest is narrow, straight
cuz God is in command
and He donât share the rock ⦠with no man

Grandma sees a different dance now
hears a different poem
Grandmaâs finally made her mind up
Grandmaâs goin home
Grandmaâs goin home to Jesus
She can hear His voice
Sayin Sarah .. Itâs your option
Sarahâs made her choice
Contra Silence
#15
And I feel the pulse
it's skipping down Poe Boulevarde
etching out images .. in black and white
piecing together the broken bloody shards
of a memory .. tortured into con-tra silence
Oh I just want to arc
I don't want to bring you down
And I can see their thoughts
now skittering across their brain
and timidly squeeking out their dying hopes
that somehow they can bend that heavy, rusting chain
of a family .. repressed into con-tra silence
Oh I just want to arc
I don't want to bring you down
Oh I can smile now
though weakly now while recovering
from major surgery .. on demon pride
bestowed by all of Josephs' heavy suffering
It's a history .. of being cornered into con-tra silence
Oh I just want to arc
I don't want to bring you down

A Lullaby
Death in the Labor Camps
#2
I donât know why I did this song, but when I wrote it I had a need to write a song using Yiddish words for the names of sites of the Nazi extermination camps. I hsensed these names should have a double meaning too, so, for instance:
Bet Chayihm: is Yiddish meaning literally, The house of life. This term is a euphemism for cemetery.
Badeken: is Yiddish meaning literally to cover and refers to the covering the bride with a veil before the wedding.
Barches: is German for Chala bread
Chala, Chaluh is 1. a Sabbath loaf
2. the priests share of the dough in temple times
3. a tractate of the Talmud
In all of these there is (to me at least) embedded a sense of life coming out of death. All people who are Godsâ children suffer the training rod of the Father who loves them and wants to train them up into happy, whole, adults. I know to suggest that the Holocaust was Gods training discipline on the Jewish people is a notion terribly painful to those people who are Jewish, but the alternatives are ten times worse. One is left with the thought that there really is no God, and that the events of Hitlerâsâ war against the Jewish people just happened, without any reason, or purpose. I have been put through terrible and prolonged pain by Godsâ love, and have come to understand what happened to the Jewish people as an expression of Godsâ faithful, and unending love to the children of promise. I know that Death in the Labor Camps is actually about my own experience, but I have the hope that others will see Godsâ love in some of the terrible troubles they face, and will ask God what He wants from them, instead of arguing defensively with God, their owner. I do not mean, by the way to suggest, that those Jewish souls who died in the camps were disciplined, and those who survived werenât. Rather, I want you to see that God has put the Jewish people as a whole through the awesome, and terrible discipline of the Holocaust, and that He has done so , not because He hates them, but because He loves them, and intends to get them ready for Kol-Nidre. Just as The children of Israel were destroyed in the wilderness, and reborn in the wilderness so that they could enter into Godsâ Land of Rest, so too have the Children of Abraham gone through , and are yet going through a death and rebirth in preparation for entering into Gods rest, who is the messiah. And no, they wonât become Christians exactly, because that term has a good many cultural aspects to it that are the antithesis of Godsâ Rest. They will however discover Jesus (Yeshua) and will follow him out of their self-governance (by means of their understanding of the law of God) into and under Godsâ governance in the context of the Messiah.
So too will those who have been grafted into the seed of Abraham from among the gentiles. We who are called Christians do not submit to the Christ. We govern our souls with the knowledge of good and evil and then sew Godsâ label on our lives after the fact. God is not fooled! We will shortly undergo our own Holocaust, and then we too will be made ready for the coming of the groom. Our readiness will manifest as following Jesus where he very personally leads us, and this following will include suffering and even martyrdom for many. When we children of God in Jesus have fully testified through suffering that Jesus succeeded in bringing us back into harmony with God, to the extent that God becomes more precious to us that life, then Jesus, the groom will return. Woe to those then who have not repented of their own righteousness, and submitted to Godsâ gift of righteousness; they will be locked out of the wedding feast. And there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.
EMMAUS
#3
Emmaus is a song about the scriptural account in Luke 24:13-34. It has an application for followers of Jesus today in that we too donât expect the coming of the Messiah to involve suffering. Jesus has come to us, and we think we wonât have to suffer. We will suffer, and when we accept this aspect of the Messiah we too will experience what those followers of Jesus experienced:
Luk 24:52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
Luk 24:53 and were continually in the temple, blessing God.

This is a paraphrase of the 23rd Psalm. It is for a community of followers to sing together.
Godâs Answer
Thursday, March 10, 2005
#7
This song is Godsâ answer to the judgments others have made on me since birth, judgments that imprisoned me. We all have been similarly imprisoned by the judgments of others.
Judgment Comes
Recorded Thursday, March 31, 2005
#8
I write songs like this one to warn people of the danger of not tending to their accountability issue. We will all account to God, yet most of us try to ignore this fact, or we only superficially deal with it and then pronounce ourselves acceptable to God, without really knowing if we are.
My Own True Lover
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 1:07 AM
#9
I pictured a teenage Irish maiden, on a green hillside, under a stormy sky singing this to her own true lover. She is a symbol of the heart of a deeply committed follower of Jesus.
When a room full of us get together we sometimes experience Wind
In this room
God is blowing us away
With His voice
Thereâs so much awe
And reverent fear
We shout glory
Salvation
Belongs alone to our God
Reign Lord, forever
Oh Holy is our God
Looking Out on Autumnsâ Harvest
#10
I wrote this song for my siblings and parents for one of our familyâs gatherings.
It was meant to encourage us to know the unity that comes from putting Jesus before family. I never did get to sing this song. Maybe some day I will.
Quickly Comes the Night
Monday, March 28, 2005
#11
This song looks forward to a pretty face, the face of the Bride of Jesus, she who has made herself ready for his coming. My pantomimes refer to my timid confrontations of my fellow believers. Timidity had to give way to my decisively making the sacrifice of my social acceptance. God, in his grace, did this through me. Where I lacked the courage, he gave me his love, and I stood firmly. He is a great God. I have never had the courage to stand. I have always been an abject coward. God is truly great.
This is Godsâ Work of Wonder
#12
This song is my remembrance of the time I first fell in love with my wife.
Time to Wear That Dress
#13
This song is a confrontation with that mindset within the Christian establishment that believes Sunday, not Saturday, is the day of rest. I donât really care about this literal issue, but it is an expression of a spiritual problem has robbed believers in Jesus of their destiny as the body of the Messiah. Rest is a metaphor of trust, and we put trusting God lower in our list of priorities than productivity. Trusting God must become our top priority. Jesus said; I am the vine, and your are the branches. Abide in me and you will bear much fruit. We donât make our house (abide) in Jesus, which means to find our whole life in the context of our righteousness with God in Jesus. We also, donât bear much fruit. The rock is Jesus, the word of God. It is the voice, and word of God that makes things, and he will not share this authoring responsibility with anyone. He is God, not us. We need to come back to the way, which is Jesus righteousness being the only basis of relationship between God and us.
Under Easter Skies
#14
Picture an old African American woman on a farm in Georgia. She has trusted in Jesus righteousness her whole life, and now Jesus is expressing his very personal desire to give her the choice of when she will go to be with him. Sarahâs made her choice.
Contra Silence
#15
Contra refers to the anti-government soldiers in Central America, who fought to rest control of their country from the hands of a dictator that the CIA put in power. I am using them as a metaphor of my own struggle to be myself within in my own family. As this struggle was taking place, I felt the need to explain to some in my family that my actions werenât intended as a rejection of my family, but as an attempt to re-connect with family (arc-as in welding).

Taste His vicâtry
Feel Godâs mercy

He-e-e leads me
in the paths of righteousness
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He leads me
every step of the way
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He loves me
enough to take me all the way
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He loves me
and covers me in grace
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
His mercy
is following me
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He houses me
for all eternity
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He feeds me
only great food
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
My shepherd
repairs my broken soul
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He-e-e goes with me
through the dark land of death
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He comforts
through His training of me
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He shields me
from winding up hurt
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He vindicates me
and empowers me
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He-e-e tells me
I am safe in His love
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He shows me
all the pride in my way
oh, for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
He takes me
where I never could go
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake
to death with Jesus
and His ressurected glow
for His nameâs sake
for His nameâs sake

I looked long
for an answer
Long I held Your hand of mercy
You were all ⦠I had God
I was so alone
inside my wounded soul
lies that I was of no use
You knew me
in my mother
way before this world destroyed me
You knew who I really am
Oh You loved me for who I
truly am
and You waited for me to come alive
By Your grace
I am alive
now reborn ⦠as You intended
Iâm so free ⦠in You Lord
Wings of joy ⦠now lift me
way up high
I soar beside You ..
The One who set me free
Praise You Lord
You are faithful
Oh most high ⦠I bow before You
You made me who I really am
Holy God .. who is .. like You
Oh Owner
Forever I will give You Praise
Judgment Comes
Recorded Thursday, March 31, 2005
#8
Judgment comes in all its splendor
Power glides smoothly into its place
Now we will see who is the killer
and who is the righteous one clutching to grace
Silence is now your commander
Waiting is sensual .. Thinkingâs set free
No need is there now running for cover
Youâve long since decided your destiny
Judgment comes riding a comet
charring the atmosphere .. wracking the land
Now you will know time is no factor
and neither is anything made with your hand
Judgment comes dressed like a curtain
swinging his sickle .. reaping the earth
Now you will see who is the owner
And what all your rational wisdom is worth
Judgment comes walking like lightening
over the mountains .. touching the sky
Now is too late to talk with your maker
God does not hear your penitent cry
For silence is now your commander
Waiting is sensual .. Thinkingâs set free
No need is there now running for cover
Youâve long since decided your destiny

Wind
on these hills
Is fair chargin through the trees
Let it come
I know the one who calms my storms
He is humble
Heâs gentle
He is my own true lover
Let it then come nigh
It cannot bother me
Love
is a word
Yet it vibrates in my soul
Like the eyes
Of my meek and lowely man, so sad
He is honour
Heâs glory
He covers me in mercy
Let Him then take me
And brush me with His mouth
Bold
On the throne
He is ... gentle to me
In His arms
I am so free
I feel light as air
I am filled up
With passion
And gushing sweet songs of joy
Oh worship spills out like
The laughter of a child
Wind
In this room
God is blowing us away
With His voice
Thereâs so much awe
And reverent fear
We shout glory
Salvation
Belongs alone to our God
Reign Lord, forever
Oh Holy is our God
Looking Out on Autumnsâ Harvest
#10
The Sunâs rays
resting on the window
looking out on autumnsâ harvest
We breathe in
the sweetness of the cool air
We are people joined together
in the blood of Jesus
This shepherd
overcame our differences
In Godsâ mercy we have
come to know the joy of oneness
This master
overcame our blindness
with his blood and body
With his sacrifice he heals us
This moment
comes to us in wonder
We can feel Godsâ peace around us
Such glory
Godsâ love is truly awesome
It wraps us up in peace and love
until our hearts are humbled
Sweet Jesus
Take control we give to you
all we are and have
You have bought us for the Father
Oh Master
We would bow and worship
There is no one like you Jesus
Praise! Hallelujah!

Time for wine in crystal glasses
Time for love like sweet molasses
Time for joy thatâs here to stay
Itâs time for peace that will not fray
God give these feelings a pretty face
that this manâs eyes long to embrace
God give desire a gentle form
to soothe my spirit .. to keep life warm
For Life looks on to better times
She just ignores my pantomimes
See Life awaits a sacrifice
Itâs resurrection that melts the ice
Itâs time for crimson, yellow, gold
When latter rains Godâs plans unfold
Itâs time the lady dressed in white
Trusted God with all their might
The daylight fades â¦
Quickly comes the night
This is Godsâ Work of Wonder

Move over here.. Love
Next to my shaking form
I feel you.. deep inside of me
and I would.. entrain your eyes to mine
I feel your trust.. Love
It greets inside me.. such longing
ooh I would.. cover you sweet girl
This is Godâs work.. of wonder
The scent of your.. skin
the touch of silken arms
like your eyes.. wrap me up in joy
and I would.. live all my days with you
I hold your breath.. Love
inside like treasure.. like jewels
ooh I could.. soar up in the sky
This is Godâs work.. of wonder
The hours slip.. by
Time has no meaning now
Loves passion.. builds a lovers world
and we would.. remain here for all time
I feel your heart.. Love
It beats in me with.. such longing
ooh I would.. cover you in praise
This is Godâs work.. of wonder

Time to Wear That Dress
Sunday, September 05, 2004
#13
Whatâd you think, that Sunday was My day?
Who told you such a lie?
It isnât ⦠rest comes at the end
cuz rest is the real thing
Trust Me ⦠Thatâs when youâre complete
Your values just wonât get it done
My ways are not your ways
Christian ⦠come back to the way
Rest is narrow, straight
cuz God is in command
and He donât share the rock ⦠with no man
Take the gift ⦠Your works just make me mad
Love cost me everything
Your virtueâs just a menstrual rag
Quit acting like itâs life
Trust Babe ⦠Then weâll get it on
I love you. Let Me have control
I can change your heart
Chorus:
Sweet girl ⦠Itâs time to wear that dress
Our weddingâs finally here
My body and blood are all you need
Let go of all your works
A pure bride ⦠is one who walks in trust
and boldly leaps into the fray
Come Love and follow
My bride ⦠come back to the way
Rest is narrow, straight
cuz God is in command
and He donât share the rock ⦠with no man

Grandmaâs put away the masons

Grandma give away the chickens
give away the sow
Grandmaâs gone and fetched a smile
for her yonder eyes
Grandmaâs dressin for a journey
under Easter skies

This song is Godsâ answer to the judgments others have made on me since birth, judgments that imprisoned me. We all have been similarly imprisoned by the judgments of others.

I write songs like this one to warn people of the danger of not tending to their accountability issue. We will all account to God, yet most of us try to ignore this fact, or we only superficially deal with it and then pronounce ourselves acceptable to God, without really knowing if we are.
My Own True Lover

I pictured a teenage Irish maiden, on a green hillside, under a stormy sky singing this to her own true lover. She is a symbol of the heart of a deeply committed follower of Jesus.
When a room full of us get together we sometimes experience Wind
In this room
God is blowing us away
With His voice
Thereâs so much awe
And reverent fear
We shout glory
Salvation

Looking Out on Autumnsâ Harvest

I wrote this song for my siblings and parents for one of our familyâs gatherings.
It was meant to encourage us to know the unity that comes from putting Jesus before family. I never did get to sing this song. Maybe some day I will.
Quickly Comes the Night

This song looks forward to a pretty face, the face of the Bride of Jesus, she who has made herself ready for his coming. My pantomimes refer to my timid confrontations of my fellow believers. Timidity had to give way to my decisively making the sacrifice of my social acceptance. God, in his grace, did this through me. Where I lacked the courage, he gave me his love, and I stood firmly. He is a great God. I have never had the courage to stand. I have always been an abject coward. God is truly great.
