Description:
An organix mix of Country-Blues, Americana, Folk, and Rock in a sweeping song cycle on the American Dream.
15 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Americana, COUNTRY: Country Blues
Details:
Wow. Six years of life crammed into 600 Million bunches of ones and zeros. Somewhat of an appropriate summary in a cosmic way. Thoughts, feelings, decisions, love, hurt, and pain all bundled into a perpetual string of dichotomy. Every one a yes, every no a zero. But all culled from the syncopated timeline of life. And like all life, it has to change or end somewhere. This one ends with a bountiful 15, to make up for the diminuitive 7 on the last. I hope it rings as true or truer. More doesn't always mean better, y'know.
This could not have come about without the inspiration, drive, and charity from so many. First of all my life partner and energy supply for so much of the music, portrayed ever so bouncily :) in track two...thank you Mary, and I love you. The sonic nugget from my closely departed friend Stu Stuckman (track 10) came as a gift, thru the dreams of another Varmint, Tim Pendleton. Then there was the reborn hope and enthusiasm of Kenneth Waugh, the abundant talent and steady friendship of Gerry Hansen and Nathan Sheppard, the generosity of Rob Del Bueno, the fortuitous help from the two unrelated "Marty's" (Kearns and Gilman), and the brilliant stubbornness of Jim Marrer. I am repeatedly awed by the blessed gifts of Keith Stewart, and am constantly challenged and inspired by the blossoming growth of my son Troy. I dedicate this recording to my youngest son Benjamin, who challenged me to complete it, and whose pure passion for life is a landmark that I still strive to achieve and regain. And I sing and play with a continuous imperfect reach for the Spirit of Truth that can only be found in the Mind of God. Silly, silly human....just make music.
