this is a compilation of my earliest recordings,
and this is where i came from:

the drunk called ken

there was a drunk called ken
who wallowed in the filth of sin
from morn 'til night there was nothing right
his life was dark within
then one day in a wonderful way
god's voice spoke softly to him
he said it's enough lay down that stuff
and never pick it up again

his life was changed in a moment of time
from a path of sin and shame
the love of god flowed thru' his soul
'twas the flow of the latter rain
he found freedom from the sting
that had vexed his troubled soul
and entered onto a path with heaven as it's goal

booze like wine, beer and rum
are forever a thing of the past
his soul had found the love of god
his sin's were forever cast
into the sea of forgetfulness
completely out of his sight
no more bar's and club's for ken
because god made all thing's right

the winds may blow and the storms sweep
but nothing can shake within
the god given hope in the heart of him
who was the drunk called ken
the love of god so floods his soul
that nothing could ever erase
no pleasure this old world could give
will ever take god's place
