Details:
Kevin Leonard Miller was born in Albany, NY, May 4, 1973. He took his dreams of making music with him to Boston and graduated from Berklee College of Music, Boston, with a BA in Music Business Management in 1995. After college he followed his friends to San Francisco, honed his production and recording craft, kind of got over his stage fright and ended up throwing the notorious ***Trashamerica events with his friend Andy. Kevin and Andy were both involved in the UK Trash Records collective, Kevin on a more associative basis. Their first party in SF was booked for just days after 9/11, and they thought of canceling it because of the name, but instead did some flyers with images of bomber planes and shopping bags plastered with an Afghanistan flag, and it interested some people enough to go. It went from there. These popular events held in obscure bars on off nights, featured drinking and bullshitting in a chaotic atmosphere where bedroom producers could play their stuff live to willing ears with free will and no constraint, really loud, with a lot of people yelling over it. Kevin is really into experimental electronic music, particularly Warp and Skam Records. Andy and Kevin made about an album's worth of material together under the name T.E.M.P. around 2000-2002, and their track '+1 {4.01 edit}' was released on Mute Records 'Pre-Set' compilation. The CD was distributed worldwide except North America. Kevin Miller released his first electronic music CD on Eupholus Records entitled 'Jed EP' in 2003 with the artist name Kevin Parish, and a 2nd CD in 2005 entitled 'Jed' with the artist name Miller. Kevin didn't want to be in the chaos of San Francisco anymore, so he decided to move to quaint Atlantic Beach, FL outside of Jacksonville, where he could relax and focus, and lead a calmer, more simple, productive lifestyle. The Eupholus site: http://www.pubnix.org/demmon/eupholus.html After Jed was released in late 2005, Kevin went to work on his 2nd electronic alternative pop album, once again changing the artist name, this time to Killer Miller, and released it on Jan 1, 2007 on his own Trash America Records, the 1st official release of the label.
