This decade spanning collection follows Kieskagato's evolution from Radiohead/Built To Spill influenced alternative/indie band Rm. 101 into Kieskagato's current blend of Soul, World Music, Rock and Jazz.
10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Progressive Rock
Details:
Here it is: the dreaded compilation album. It signals either great things to come, or the end of the road for every one of your coworkers' bands. Kieskagato puts its money on the former, and is offering you, for a limited time only, this handmade (by the band itself)collection of really old, semi old, newish, and super extra new music that marks a feeble attempt at creating an anticipatory buzz for the band's upcoming 2007 release.
Featured here (in addition to the beautiful graphics designed by Dave and Josh) are some songs recorded at the famous Smart Studios in Madison WI in 199x (where if we had been present on the right day we may have rubbed shoulders with Garbage's Shirley Manson, but it was not to be), an unreleased track from the Jackpot!/ Larry Crane Half Of What You Wanted sessions, some EP material recorded by Skyler from Point Juncture Washington, and some 2005 recordings from Dave's Basement (right behind the Taco Bell there on 50th and Powell in crappy SE Portland).
I guess we should include the following caveat: only buy this record if you already like our band. If you're new to Kieskagato, check out You, Are The One, Who Can. That record is more of a polished gem to this release's compacted chunk of clay. Good night and God bless.
