Featuring no less than 22 musicians Kinderjazz - The Big Swing Band For Little Kids -literally rockets into the 21st century....when only the best will do.

This jazz orchestra plays latin (Jump) the blues( Bugs in My Body), congas(The Conga Man) and also gets downright funky(Cinderella). There is a mini-opera (The Pied Piper of Hamelin) plus a baroque consort complete wtih fugue (The Princess And The Pea). Other songs include traditional fairy tales such as "Rapunzel" and the "Three Little Piggies". With "Colours of the Rainbow" swinging away, the album heads for a strong close with "See You Later". It is only after the palette has been well and truly prepared that the mighty and totally wonderful title track "Gonna Swing Right Through This Town" has the last bounce. This big band number pulls out all the stops and guarantees to have your kids dancing!

"Kinderjazz" does not rely on backing tapes when performing. This means that all the takes on this album are first takes and the acoustic feast that is called "live music" gets a thorough airing without the plastic cutlery of a drum machine, synthesiser, sequencer, midi, etc. in earshot.
