Crossover Italian band that play music such as Incubus Red Hot Chili Peppers RATM
9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Funk Rock, METAL: Alternative Metal
Details:
KILTâs project was born in 2001, in the cold and dark Ferraraâs country, from a dream of four young guys. Hardly fifteen-year-old boys, covering Red hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Incubus, creating their own cover repertory, which was even of a quite high level, and trying to stand out as an alternative cover-band, making a name of their propensity for the â90 rock sounds. In 2003, the entry of the guitar-player Michele Guberti makes lasting the band, which begins to record its first demo of three songs. This first work, called Icarus, express the fusion of rock and funk, even if is the second one that prevails. The demo has an unexpected success. The band starts to play continuously, refining more and more its live show, changing its orientation towards rock sound, instead of funk, and inverting the style of Icarus. The group works hard for two years and heaps up a lot of live shows, playing in such clubs as Zoo Animal Sound, Renfe, Pelledoca, X-Ray, Kalinka, placed in Emilia Romagna and in Veneto, overtaking the barrier of the 60 dates, without having any management and always moving autonomously. The band has been even selected, through more than 1200 bands, for the seminar, Music Village, realized by Event Sound Promotion in association with Sony BMG, Universal, Warner Bros, and some different indie-record-houses. In 2005, the guys are back in the studio determined to impress, on the next CD, their maturity, aggressiveness and the energy that was given off during their live shows; that was how they self produce âFuori dal Giocoâ (âOut of the Gameâ), first bandâs Ep of 5 songs, printed by Physical Graphics. Later on the group decides to change is way and ads the Italian language to its own texts; the result is definitely better than before. After Mei 2005, the band is been contacted by some different indie-record-houses to make record productions; in the end it signs with Sana Records, a record-house placed in Milan, for the production of the compilation âRock e contaminazioni IVâ (âRock and contamination IVâ), of which takes part with the piece âGeisha Partyâ; the group has had the opening of the Physical Festival and of some other artists such as Giorgio Canali, Strike e Paolo Catena; itâs been selected again for the Music Village, the musical seminary which sees the guys protagonists from 3 to 8 June 2006 in Calabria and finally they are been chosen, between 250 other bands all over Italy, to take part at the Giovani Suoni 2006 (Young Sounds 2006), a festival placed in Naples, in which unfortunately the band couldnât go for personal reasons. During June 2006 itâs began the distribution, in Rome, Milan and Switzerland, of the compilation made by Flaneur Production, in which Kilt joins with the track Geisha Party. After the sign with the Lady Music Records (record-house of Livorno), which now takes care of Kiltâs booking and management, actually the band is busy with the production of its debut-disc âTra Serpi e Favoleâ (âBetween Snakes and Fairy-talesâ); this new CD will go out in the best music-shops, all over Italy, in February 2007.
