Influenced by John Mellencamp, Wilco, Rolling Stones and Steve Earle; Blue shield band began performing in the late summer of 2000. Brothers Joe and Chris Fisher handle guitar and bass duties along with drummer Kevin Hinterlong as they delve deep into folk, country, rock & Americana traditions. Dan Carty (piano) & Dan Tetzlaff (lead guitar) provide a lush landscape of melody and noise over the solid rhythm foundation. Last year's independently released "Chicken Coop Chronicles" captures the sound and feel of the modern Midwest.
