The special delivery arrival of the spoken word CD "POETUAL" from native south side Jamaica,NY resident BLUE SKY, was only the beginning of many indications that I was about to experience something unique.
From the first track "I AM" a self affirmation spiritual that is aided by a combination of sounds that definitely achieve its intention, you are seemingly transported through a time portal, and out the other end where you arrive at nirvana.
The third CD from the poet who grew up near Sutphin and Linden Blvd, BLUE SKY dazzles with ingenious compostions on 'POETUAL" (pronounced like spiritual).
It features soul riveting guitar riffs from RONNIE DRAYTON, a veteran of the music industry. He has played with NONA HENDRICKS among others. DRAYTON, a south Jamaica resident himself, does work on the CD reminiscent of JIMI HENDRIX.
