Liamâs voice has been captivating folks for a little over ten years now in coffee shops, living rooms and passenger seats. The tones in his songs are warm and genuine, though often with a sense of urgency. Even with such an invitingly personal sound, itâs still hard to say exactly where Liamâs songs, and voice, come from.

We could say Montana. This northwest Rocky Mountain native spent much of his childhood climbing and scooting through creeks, over boulder fields and on snowpack. Montana is also where he wrote his first song at age sixteen on his dadâs 1964 acoustic Epiphone. And it wasnât until finding his voice in high school choir that Liam fully felt the gentle power of a voice singing from the heart.

But that wouldnât be the whole story.

We could say, too, that the magic of transforming joy, sorrow, love and heartache into music fuels the warmth and lyrical intensity of his vocal performance. His songs are gifts from one human being to another, carved of lifeâs peaks and valleys, creating a line that goes right to the listenerâs heart.

We could say all that, and itâd all be true. Ultimately, though, where Liamâs songs come from is still mystifying, most of all to the singer/songwriter himself. âSongs come and go. Iâm just thankful to be around when they come.â
