I was raised in New York City by my parents Josie Mae & Harold Ross. I loved to dance and sing as a child but did not realize that I actually had a voice until I auditioned for the All Girls Choir at my high school where I was selected to sing in the second alto section.

Growing up, I spent a great deal of time with my Grandparents Bernice & Gus Clark. My Grandfather had a great collection of Jazz music that we would listen to together. This is where my heavy jazz influence comes from.

I took vocal training with the late Richard Riddle, which lead to a six-year stint singing Cabaret in New York City clubs. During the last four years, I performed with Joe Bousard as my musical director.

I took a 13-year hiatus from performing on stage. During that time, I joined my church choir and little by little began singing again. It was while singing with the church choir, that I started to feel God was trying to tell me something about using my voice and my writing skills. (First time writing music so you know, it had to be God) I felt compelled to listen. So, here I am following my dream and counting My Blessings.
