Back in the summer of 2006--with no more intent than taking some time out for themselves--a blend of talented artists from separate groups who'd been milling about the San Jose area small venue scenes for a few years began to take the first, struggling steps in forming Fawn.
With inspirations from Depeche Mode, John Williams, and Nine Inch Nails, Fawn manages to channel their own fervid and emotionally evocative sound from the too-often comedic melodrama of rock's past and the lifeless knob-tinkering elitism of contemporary "alternative" rock.
From a quaint suburban garage decorated with an ancient, overstuffed sofa, and an insane mosaic of eggcrate foam padding and donated blankets in Santa Clara, California Fawn is made up of Adam Bishop, Steven Murr, Matthew Duran, Robert Kinsella, and Mat Crystal
