Excellent middle-of-the-road Rocky-Bluesy-Folk you will listen to in your living room and wish you were driving; or listen to in your car and wish you were driving home (with the pedal to the floor).

FOLK: Modern Folk, ROCK: Folk Rock
Details:
"The 'quiet guy' with the surprisingly powerful voice."
Some say it's behind a simple microphone and his favourite 12-string acoustic that Luc really shines. Others say his bands have always been able to keep the crowd buzzing until dawn. This CD gives you the best of both worlds with quiet ballads and folksey tunes all the way to southern rock and blues. A multi-talented artist who started off playing drums, then guitar, keyboards, bass, lead guitar, and the list continues to grow. His versatile vocals have seen him do everything from back-up to barbershop quartets to lead vocals. Combine all this musical talent with his ability to breathe everyday life into the words he writes and you wind up with music for every mood you might be in at any given time of the day.
Born in Nova Scotia, raised in Northern Ontario, and settled down in Ottawa, Luc is a Canadian Indie Artist who, in spite of his French name, writes primarily in English.
Having taken time off to start a family, "O.U.C.H." is his first concerted effort since his limited release double album "Summer Solstice" (1993). He's updated his sound while still staying true to his folk/rock roots with songs like "Have to Go" and the surprise favourite "Sure Reminds Me". He dabbles in old blues on "Better Learn to Climb" and flirts with the pop sound in "Somewhere Else". He even goes a little heavy with "Cross the Line", but with songs like "No reason..." and "Wish I was a Fly", Luc shows his skill at painting a panorama of emotion that draws you effortlessly into the moment. He includes remakes of Summer Solstice's "Meagan" and "Once and for All" as well as two brand new ballads: "Just for You" and "You Are the One".
In his 25+ year career, Luc has penned over 550 songs, including the incredibly hilarious and popular "Easter Bunny Song" (watch for a remake of that one on his next CD). Not just a comedic writer, Luc shows a versatility and sensitivity in his writing that sits comfortably in that safe middle ground sure to please most listeners. He's written dozens of ballads, rock anthems, country, children's music, etc...
Warning: With that much talent bottled up for so long, this CD is only the beginning. Don't get hooked on his music unless you're prepared to upgrade your MP3 player's memory and/or buy a much bigger CD rack.
