Description: Lounge type jazz, latin featuring alto sax 10 MP3 Songs JAZZ: Smooth Jazz, EASY LISTENING: Lounge Details: Maurice Reez Soudre is a working musician in the Laurentians area of Quebec , where he brings his abundant musical knowledge and abiding love of the ecclectic to jazz lovers on a regular basis. He developed his chops under the tutelage of the late, reknowned Gerald Danovitch. From the first time he heard "Take Five", Reez was smitten by the very particular intimacy of the Paul Desmond sound, as was exemplified in this tune, Desmond's most famous composition and solo. On this album he interprets, in a style which honours Desmond's approach, the music of such varied sources as Milton Nascimento and local musician Ian Hanchet, as well as one of his own tunes and several of Desmond's, which he approaches with a faithful rendering of the originals. Reez is accompanied on this album by a coterie of some of Quebec's finer musicians.
