I aspire to poetry and philosophy. I have far too many (unread) books of and about both subjects. It seems, however, that what I actually enjoy reading is science fiction and comic books.

In my music, too, I have long aspired to lofty ideas and grand statements. However, what actually comes out when I sit down to write quite often seems to me to have more in common with the science fiction and comics that I actually enjoy than the poetry and philosophy I aim for. And I've finally come to the conclusion that that's ok. Some cool ideas, some fantastic landscapes, some inhuman action. With the exception of very few of these pieces (the 2 "Six-Tone Pieces" - which add up to one 12-tone piece - and the "Percussion Canon") these pieces were not written for human performers. They were realized on a fairly primitive MIDI setup (Atari 1040ST and a couple of Roland and Yamaha modules). They are all from the 80's. Many are studies, quite often dealing with superimposed tempos. There are a few I believe that stand up as quality compositions, but they all offer something of value. Hope you find something here to enjoy.
