"If you aaabsolutely want to be a genre-nazi, you could call Succuba a
noise rock band. But to be a nazi wasn't something to strive for the last
time I checked, and noise rock as a genre really says nothing about the
sheer madness to expect. It says nothing about the absurdity, logic, or
the obsessive repetition in this controlled chaos that continuously spews
out feedback, held down by insane interpretations of what might be called
the bass sound and backed up by no less than two drummers out for some
unknown revenge. I may not have been that sane before I saw them live the
first time, and it didn't exactly help.
Anyway, call Succuba whatever you want. I just think it's beautiful. "

â"Chief Pointy Head" is Succuba´s second release, after their debut ("No Arms/No Cake") that was released in 2008. This release is also the first one with Øystein Goksøyr Åsen on bass and Øyvind Brattås on drums, which means that Succuba now has TWO drummers...

In 2011, Succuba played a bunch of shows in Norway, one of them was at the Slottsfjell Festival and the festival Nuit Blanche in Amiens, France.
