Sacred Haze was formed in August 1987 when four friends found themselves reunited in Los Angeles after long periods of travelling and disappearing in the southern lands of Mexico and Guatemala. Drawing from their own writings and music, the quartet has developed a style that conveys the emotions and discoveries of their own experiences through the songs.

Sacred Haze songs are more akin to rock and roll incantations, calling up grim and beautiful visions of the west. From the blood thirsty conquistadores, to the innocent eyes of indian children across the desert at midnight and into the depths of the sea; these are the landmarks of the Sacred Haze outback, past, present, and future rolled into one.

Far from the glam-rock trappings of the metal scene and the pretentious gloom of post punk, Sacred Haze offers a musical palette at once bone crushing, sensitive, rebellious, and inspiring. Writing from their own travels and experiences brings their music a unique power, having lived through the music, travelling to the perimeters, gazing into the haze and returning to tell the tale. This gives the band a sense of urgency and truth that is seldom found in todayâs music.

Their live performances are a spontaneous blend of electric and acoustic versions of their songs. Currently Sacred Haze is performing around Los Angeles and Orange County where they are gaining a following of like-minded youth.
