Details:
Robert Taylor Jr has seen a lot, has been exposed to a lot, and has been all over the place in the world of music and dance. In fact, he may be one of the most undiscovered-underrated-underground-unsigned talents in the America today. It's his knowledge and his blood-oriented saturation in the world of music and dance that helps him feel what there is to feel to portray to the people. From Marymount Manhattan College, to performing for Michael Jackson, to being an honorary member of The Amountboyz, to American Idol (season 3 in the last 87 contestants), to MTV's 'Say What? Karaoke' (as a 2 time winner), to 'The Ryan Leslie Project' as Ryan Leslie's alter ego, to an instructor at Broadway Dance Center, to Kat Deluna's 'Whine Up' music video as a dancer, to 'Hairspray' the tour as part of the ensemble, to a 7 time NYC music underground showcase winner as a pop/R & B entertainer, to rockin' out with 'The James Gang', to being with the cast of 'Broadway Underground' with Jared Grimes, to performing as a wedding singer with 'Starlight Orchestras', to being an MC with 'Richie Hart Entertainment', to 'So You Think You Can Dance (season 8) as 'The WoOoOo Man' making the top 16, ' he felt like it was time to start sharing with the world where he's been and more of what he does, who he is, and what he stands for (especially in regards to spreading love, peace, unity, inspiration, and positive energy to everyone through the love of music and dance as well as in general). His Dad, Bobby T-Boy Taylor, has also been in the music industry has released a few singles that are still currently available on i-tunes and CD Baby. Now, following the footsteps of his Dad, with this song, as his first ever single release, Robert Taylor Jr releases the 'real good-feel good' mood (as one of the many few singles that you will be experiencing in his upcoming music) and wants people to just get up, go out, and have a good time 'getting down'. In this song, Robert was inspired vocally by R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, and The Temptations. Physically he was inspired by 'The Lockers'. The lockers was a dance crew who did the style of dance known as locking back in the 70's. The other inspiration comes from 'poppin' and 'breakin' which also evolved in the 70's and early 80's. Being that Robert is a singer and a hip-hop dancer he chose to use both those elements of which he studies and started going to work with it. The song was also written by him and produced by TwinJo Entertainment (Jason and Glen Chapman). The artwork for the single was done by DaddyLion Chandell and the photo was taken by Elliot Chapman. In a nutshell, you will get a vibe of the 70's and 80's feel (whether it be a dancing cypher or a party @ the club - or in your home). Enjoy! WoOoOo!
