Midnite Bully is a movement that consist of 3 solo artists that came together to make music as a group. The members are Lahdik, Jamaal Isaac and Pablu. Each member has their own unique style. What's unique about the group is how it was formed, it just happened. Lahdik and Jamaal Isaac have released music professionally since 1998 with their previous group, Tenth Planet. In those years, Pablu was writing a lot of music and working on his craft. After the Tenth Planet disbanded, Lahdik and Jamaal began working on solo material. Around 2002 is when the three members formed a group. How did it happen? Well all three cats would be listening to Jamaal's beats/music and ideas would just fly around the room and cats started recording the material. There was and is a creative comfort zone the group enjoy and it transcends in their recorded material and also on stage when they perform. When you listen to a Midnite Bully song, what you will hear is authentic and creative music. Being that the music, which is produced by Jamaal Isaac is undeniable, head nodding and captivating, the listener has no choice but to surrender to the sounds. When you hear the drums smacking your ear and the bass lines pulsating, all you're left to do is bang your head. His versatility as an emcee also shines bright on the album. As an emcee, his lyrics are insightful and his voice transcends to different textures on each song, allowing Jamaal to stand out as an artist. Lahdik is an ill emcee. His lyrics are very poetic and his style is magnetic. He also dabbles in harmonies, but if you ask him he'll tell you, 'He stays in his pocket'. Bottom line, emceein' is Lahdik's main concern; his poetic word play, distinct voice and different styles, allows him to be a unique artist. Pablu is a vocalist. His style is also unique and you can definitely hear his sincerity in his delivery. When you hear his music, his style draws you in. He's a hip hop head, but his taste in music is as vast as his talent. What's also unique about the group is how songs are conceived, written and recorded. The music and ideas dictate who appears on the songs. So sometimes you may hear a solo song from a member, a duo song or all 3 may appear on the same song together. This allows the group and album to be diverse and entertaining.
