Mike Andersen Band releases new EP!

With two critically acclaimed albums behind them, Mike Andersen Band is now ready with three strong soul numbers!


Modern soul with deep roots
With two previous albums and hundreds of concerts all over Europe, the Mike Andersen Band has developed their own creative and destinctive style within the soul genre.
The three brand new songs are carried by Mike Andersenâs characteristic, intense and soulful voice, while the production gives the songs a modern and unique touch.

The EP is produced by the bandâs trumpetist, RasmusB, whoâs great love for neo-soul artists such as Dâangelo og Erykah Badu has resulted in a production, which appeals to the modern soul audience. The same audience that is drawn to artists like Alicia Keys, John Legend og Joss Stone.

6 års of constant development
Six years ago the Mike Andersen Band began in the classic soul/blues tradition. Through a natural process, always with an urge to push creative boundaries, the band has now found their own strong, personal, and contemporary style!
They do not descriminate between the genres: soul, blues, and jazz, but draw freely from all elements of black american music.
Most recently the Copenhagen rapper, Al Agami, was featured on the album âTomorrowâ. Since then Agami has had several guest appearrences with the Mike Andersen Band. Always with great success.
This openess gives the band a broad and constantly growing audience!


The EP is a taste of the forthcoming full length album.

Mike Andersen Band is voted BEST NEW ARTIST in France by a jury composed of French journalists, DJâs, concert promoters og venue operators.

2005:
The song âStuck With Meâ wins SONG OF THE YEAR in the INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS (USA) and receives 3rd prize in the INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION (USA).

2003:
âMy Love For The Bluesâ is named ALBUM OF THE WEEK on the Danish National Radio.

2003:
Mike Andersen recieves the award DANISH BLUES ARTIST OF THE YEAR - 2003.

2002:
âMy Love For The Bluesâ recieves a long line of excellent reviews in Danish, European, and American magazines.
Several TV and radio appearances in and outside Denmark.
