With the release of âThe World Inside My Mindâ, his third CD, Mike has taken his already recognized songwriting and performing skills to another level, and as always, he plays all instruments and sings all vocals on every song. Ten heartfelt and personally meaningful new songs, ranging from the Beatles/Lennon inspired âItâs Loveâ, âNot Giving Upâ, âEverything We Areâ, and âTomorrowâs On Its Wayâ, to the powerful guitar-driven title track, âThe World Inside My Mindâ; from the beautiful âBlue Love Eyesâ, âAlways Behind Meâ, and âThe Three Lives Of Cloudsâ, to âPulseâ, Mikeâs homage to his favorite âstill rockinâ musical heroes.
Mike has also included three original songs from his first CD, âWalking On Abbey Roadâ, as bonus tracks. While the influence of the Beatles, and his love for them, is evident in each song, Mikeâs unique talents shine through and make them truly his. "Walking On Abbey Road" captures Mike's first visit to Abbey Road Studios in London, and features an emotional "Lennon-flavored" vocal. "Part Of My Heart's In England" follows up on his London visit, expressing his affection for that city and its wonderful people. "Thanks To You", Mike's bouncy love song to his wife of thirty-two years, was described as "...the cheerful, Beatlesque 'Thanks To You'" by Beatles Unlimited Magazine in The Netherlands.
A number of Mikeâs songs, including âThe World Inside My Mindâ, âWalking On Abbey Roadâ, and âThanks To Youâ, have received airplay in Australia, England, Italy, and the United States.
