Iâm a singer/ songwriter & also owner/ operator of Home Recorded Culture. Founded in 1994 after intern stints at both SUB POP & C/Z records. HRC is not a label, it is a musician & artist toolbox. Fully equipped with a bare-bones recording studio & a screen-print shop.

Iâd say the albumâs about living too hard, being too serious & how thatâs no fun. Itâs about diving into a bottle of gin to toast the ghosts that chase you through your head & how thatâs no fun. Itâs about biology, lineage & heritage... Itâs about the things that make us yearn to burn brighter than the sun & the things that remind us of how human we really are. Itâs about going home & itâs about meeting your father..... Itâs all these things, written as cryptically as possible because really Iâm a music fan more than I am a musician & if their is one thing Iâve learned itâs the difference between âme songsââ & âwe songsââ. As listeners we want to make music our own, not listen to some skinny kids head trip!

As for the packaging, it folds out into a gin bottle & the bag that the CD sits in smells like gin! Of the 1000 made 8 of them have a gold imprint on the bag that gets the lucky owner 1 free HRC release... Willy Wonka style!
