Acclaimed for his dense lyrical imagery with a relentless rhyme scheme, Mr. Bugg manages to create unique hip hop while never leaving its roots. Using an array of word plays, he portrays various techniques, however defining them with his own distinctive style.

According to Mr.Bugg; âHip Hop seems stuck in itâs tracks at present. There is a complete loss in momentum because Artists seem fixated on developing a style already formed.â He continues; âCopying and following trends are two completely different concepts, it is fundamental to take inspiration to keep Hip Hops overall essence, but how is an Artist completely derived of someone elseâs style developing the industry? My debut single âWhatâs Hip Hop?â is how I chose to portray the irony of the state of Hip Hop. Iâve been aiming to break the mould of UK Hip Hop with my own expression and want to throw different styles of Hip Hop in all directions and hope fans warm to my intentions.â

Click Record Productions believe that the more commercialised style of Mr.Bugg clearly shown in âWhatâs Hip Hop?â is more a less devised, to develop an initial reputation and put him on the map.

In the long run however, even if everything about the genre appears to be lacking and the original Hip Hop is lost, they are hoping that with the right Artiste this by no means says that it cannot be revived.
