In a time of pretenders, Myridian is contending for their spot on the music scene. Just minutes from the Southern California Coast, in the idyllic valley that is Ojai (o-hi), Myridian emerged during 2003.

Comprised of five musicians who call the Valley home, they are driven by the creative spirit of guitarist and principal songwriter, Richard Metcalfe. Sophisticated arrangements and compelling messages reflect a culmination of their pop, rock and progressive influences. The lyrics are passionate and the language poetic. Classic chord structures combine with refreshing vocal harmonies for a distinct, radio-friendly feel.

Myridian has established a loyal local following, performing live throughout Southern California. In 2006 the band took top honors in the Ventura County Battle of the Bands, a competition including sixty other groups. As a result, they were awarded a recording contract on the independent Euterpe Music Label, which produced the groupâs first full-length album, Prime Myridian (Official release date 24 February 2007).

In addition to Richard Metcalfe, lead vocalist Kalvin Keller, drummer Patrick Duffy, keyboardist Scott Smith and bassist Bud McCanless fill out the roster.
