Details:
There Was This Nun... is the first Cd to be released by popular folk singer Neil MacPherson who is based in Shropshire, United Kingdom and hopefully it won't be the last. Neil is a powerful performer, especially on stage and quite a few people have been spellbound by his renditions of the traditional songs he performs so well.
The cd is the result of many requests for him to produce one and a desire to have a go to see what came about. What came about is a great album of songs that Neil enjoys singing and is very listenable to which has received many favourable comments, indeed folks are asking when the next one is due out!
Neil came late to folk music being introduced to it all after buying a tape of The Dubliners. After that came the Fureys, The Clancys, Planxty and the legendary Christy Moore. Neil's liking for Irish music stems from the fact that his Grandmother was a native of that country, in fact you have guy with a Scottish name, with an English accent singing mainly Irish songs, how cosmopolitan!
If you like songs sung in an uncomplicated and meaningful way without fuss, this cd is for you.Even if you don't, buy it any way you won't be disappointed.
