Novus Dae is a band from central Connecticut consisting of five musicians who do what they love to do â play music. Each member shares a passion for pouring out emotions through the musical expressions of his particular instrument. Whether it is on stage in front of thousands, or in the basement in front of each other; the love is the same.

Novus Dae is Ryan Thorne - Lead Vocals, Tim Bojanowski - Drums & Percussion, and other crazy sounds, Greg Darigis - Lead Guitars, backing vocals, and weird guitar effects, Ryan Greenier - Guitars & Vocals, Tony Iris - Bass.

Each member of the band comes from a different background musically as well career-path. Such differences in music include educational, listening preference, and experience. This allows the band to be very flexible in terms of creativity and the ability to create an original sound. From land-surveying to Internet security each member also brings a different life-aspect to the band. Hard work Monday through Friday allows the band to work hard on their dream â to make Novus Dae their Monday through Friday of course!

The band formed in late 2000 consisting of two groups of friends. The then-current lineup consisted of Ryan Thorne on lead vocals, Greg Darigis on lead guitars, Ryan Greenier on guitars and backing vocals, Tim Bojanowski on drums and percussion, and Mark Chorabik on bass guitar. The band set-out to write new music and to perform on a regular basis. The band did so, playing virtually every weekend at local clubs/venues around Connecticut and Massachusetts from late 2001 to early 2003.

However each band is not without its controversies and setbacks. In late 2003, Ryan Thorne (lead vocals) and the band began to butt heads. Due to the stubbornness and determination of the individuals involved, Ryan Thorne left the band in early 2004. While in most cases, this would mean the end of the band in question, it did not for Novus Dae. The band continued on in pursuit of another vocalist; auditioning numerous people. However as life would have it, nobody had what it took to fill Thorneâs spot in the band. In mid-to-late 2004 the band and Thorne met while at a local event, and began to talk once again. In late 2004, having learned from their experiences together and apart, Thorne reunited with the band, and Novus Dae was once again. The band has since been stronger than ever; growing and respecting relationships with each other more than before.

In the beginning of 2005, Novus Dae set out to write and record their first album. With the help of many people close to them, Novus Dae began that project by November of that year. Between November of 2005 and November 2006 Novus Dae recorded, mixed, and mastered 15 tracks. Some of those songs were already written, some were spruced up, and some were written from scratch. The album as it was finished was entitled âWith the Fallâ. The record was mixed and engineered by Greg Darigis and mastered by Adam Ayan from Gateway Studios in Portland, ME (mastering venue of choice by such bands as Tool, Metallica, Linkin Park, Disturbed, as well as many, many others).

Novus Dae continues to play out and work on building relationships with friends, industry, and of course new fans. The band knows that if it wasnât for those relationships, this ride would not last very long. Sincere thanks and appreciation goes out to everyone who has allowed Novus Dae do what they love as well as making this trip what it has turned out to be thus far; and that is amazing.
