Details:
Oceans in Oblivion started as The One Inch Oneders in the summer of 2001. Originally a 3-piece band, the group consisted of Hayden Nerbel on bass/vocals, John Redifer on drums, and Jef Song on guitar. They played a lot of parties but never got any groupies.
OIO changed to Oceans in Oblivion when its 4th and final member Justin Lee joined in August 2003. After Justin's inauguration, the band started writing original songs and playing shows in the Greater Seattle area.
After recording a number of demos over the years, the band wrote a 4-song EP and recorded it with Seattle Producer Casey Bates (Blane, This Providence, Daphne Loves Derby) in the summer of 2005. This Place Called Home was released February 2006.
As of 2007, the band hopes to play some more shows and finish a demo started in 06. Maybe then they can get some groupies.
