âLife and Times Of A Hustlerâ is a collection of songs that I have written over the last 10 years of my life. I have always expressed my emotions through my music. As a formally trained percussionist, I fell in love with rap music and all of the drama created by those artist who have become a part of American culture. I found that I was able to âdumpâ all of the feeling that I had no control over, while at the same time be creative and actually become a part of something greater than myself and my little World. I started writing rhymes âback in the dayâ when ârapâ was just a baby. Now âitâ and I have grown up.
I had planned on doing the ârap thingâ up until September 11, 2001.
I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan but I have lived in Brooklyn off and on since 1995. After that day, I decided to âdo somethingâ with my life, so that those whose lives were interrupted would not be lost in vain. I am an American, first. Everything else is window dressing.
