Arctic Odyssey is a multimedia adventure through the world's last great wilderness. The music offers a soundscape to match the accompanying book and CD-ROM. The music, photographs and story follow the composer, writer and photographer on a 3,500-mile journey along the fabled Northwest Passage from Alaska to Baffin Island.

Arctic Odyssey contains 45 minutes of instrumental music which captures the mood and character of the Arctic grandeur and serenity. The music was composed by Richard Olsenius, who has created music for films, CD-ROMs and the retail music market. Olsenius is also an award-winning photographer who shares his National Geographic adventure in this three-dimentional experience. "From the very beginning, photography and music merged for me," said Olsenius. "They are different languages for communicating the same feeling."

The 72-page, CD-sized, hardcover book recounts his year of exploration, his travels with native hunters and his voyage on one of the few yachts to ever sail the Northwest Passage. "With Arctic Odyssey, I was finally able to bring my love of music and photography together," said Olsenius.
