Born in the windy city of Chicago but raised in the western part of Africa,
Obisoulstar is the epitome of a Renaissance man. Be it from his music that is like food to a starving ear and water to a dried up heart, his poetry which reflects a man who has seen a lot, forgotten little and is not afraid to speak about it. "I am what I do and its not really for fame or fortune but for people to feel me and have an idea of who I really am", he says, subtly drawing a distinction between him and fellow performers. "I have passion and pride in each gift I have and thats why I have no problem working hard at them", he explains. "Its my way in to get out".
