Alan Barcus is a singer-songwriter with eclectic tastes
and a penchant for unusual and deeply-felt songs.
He has scored eleven movies and written the book,
music and lyrics for three Chicago-produced musicals.
Each of his songs seems to have a little humorous
twist or a personal insight that resonates with the listener.

Among his best-known songs (all of which are included
on his new CD, "Alan Barcus . . Don't I Know") are
"You're My Cubs," the official fight song of the Chicago
Cubs, which plays at Wrigley Field during home games;
"The Critic's Lullaby," beloved by critically-abused
actors everywhere; and "Just Keep Holdin' On," from the
musical Spellbinders.

His One-Man-Show-on-Steroids, "Confessions of a
Reluctant Musician," has been playing in the Chicago
area for several months to large crowds and enthusiastic
response. Even the critics seem to have forgiven him
for "The Critic's Lullaby."
