The musical aptitude of The American Years drives the groupâs haunting lyrics and lively beats and melodies. Band members Jeff Carson (guitar/vocals), Miguel Gamboa (drums/percussion), Micah Joel (vocals/guitar) and Aaron Schauer (bass/keyboard/vocals) bring more than 30 years of combined music experience their original songs and performances. Aaron Schauer said when the group was founded in 2003 it sought to bring a fresh edge to live music. The group takes a no-frills approach to performance. âWe give the audience what they want: the songs,â Schauer said. âAnd we do it without taking away from the artistry of it all.â

The American Years are an energetic rock band based out of Fayetteville, Ark. Their sound blends such roots as rock, soul, folk and pop.
