In 1999, we lost our house to black (toxic) mold. I became very ill with respiratory problems, lung infections, severe chronic asthma and anaphylaxis. My health kept me from attending my sonâs ball games and from being able to enjoy my family. My health problems kept me from enjoying the life that God had given me.

By the grace of God alone, we found a new home, new furniture, and a new church. God blessed Tim and I with wonderful jobs and for the first time in what seemed like forever, we felt peace. Through what was the darkest place in our lives, we had been held in the hand of the Bright and Morning Star. Looking back, I know that it was our obedience to Godâs call and to our faith that He would provide, that we have been able to claim Victory over darkness. After Tim and I found our wonderful church, our faith walk continued to grow stronger every day.

In early 2005, the Lord told me that I would have a ministry and bless thousands of people and bring people to the Lord. In May, God gave me a vision to record a demo and mail it to Nashville. Without a band, without a recording studio, but armed with the grace of God and an old cassette recorder, I sat down at the piano and recorded a few of my favorite songs.

Our church prayed over the tape and on Friday morning, I mailed it to Capitol Management in Nashville, TN. As I sat in the parking lot in front of our little post office, I thought to myself, what am I doing? Sitting there, I just started laughing at myself â I am certain that if anyone had seen me that morning they would have thought I had lost it. Who did I think I was? I said to myself, âGod has His hand on this, and He will finish what He has started.â So out of my car and up the stairs I went, and I mailed the tape.

Five days later, I received a call from legends hall of fame producer, Robert Metzgar, at Capitol Management in Nashville asking me to come to Nashville. I prayed about it and I knew Godâs hand was on this, and two days later I was on a plane to Nashville. Sitting on the airplane, I lost it again. Laughing gas could not have had a better affect on me than the giddiness I felt. I laughed because I was happy and I laughed because I thought this whole thing was crazy. This just
couldnât be happening to me. I didnât have a clue what I was doing, but I finally settled down enough to hold it together when I walked up to the office door at Capitol Management.

Once inside, and I started to feel peace. Mr. Metzgar told me he had been looking for someone to sing some Christian songs. He played a few of the songs for me, and I could hear Godâs voice saying, âAngie, I opened the door and brought you here.â I was blown away with tears of joy.

Believe it or not, I came back home with a recording contract to record a 12-track album. In less than two months, I was back in Nashville recording the album. An album! With me singing! Our God is so good.

Well, it has been almost a year and God has opened yet another door. I am proud to announce that my single, âWritten in the Sandâ was released the end of September 2006 and receiving airplay nationwide.

I look back at all the health problems I had and I am now totally healed. I look back at our ruined home and we own have a wonderful roof over our head today. I look back at where I have been and I know that the Lord has chosen me and is going to do a great work through me. Not because of who I am or what I can do alone, but through what He has planned for me. I pray that He will continue to use me to reach as many people as He sets in my path.

I am encouraging people to unite together as Christians and Americans and stand up for Jesus. Itâs time to bring God back into our schools, our homes, our cities, our churches, but most of allâ¦â¦. Our hearts.
