ANXIETY - Who stole my country?

There's a very scary man in the White House, he's turned a personal vendetta ("They tried to kill my daddy...") into a very unpopular war. He denies that global warming exists. He wants to write his morality into our country's Constitution...who could resist writing music about this stuff? Not us.

ANXIETY - 20+ years of making crunchy noize about issues!

ANXIETY formed in 1985 in San Jose, CA. At the time there was an amazing punk scene in the Bay Area and a ton of bands that spontaneously formed - everyone doing it all themselves - playing shows, making flyers, recording demos, organizing shows (remember the FARM in SF? The Fencing Center in San Jose? Ruthies? The original On Broadway?) We learned to play instruments and within a year had two demos recorded (in a small, but professional studio in Redwood City).

ANXIETY has played some amazing shows: Adolescents, Exploited, Dag Nasty, Adrenalin OD, MDC, Dr. Know - great old-school shows in and around the SF Bay Area. We also played several gigs at Gilman (look it up - we're in the show listings of "924 Gilman" along side other guys like Rancid, Green Day, Angry Samoans, even Mr. Bungle).

We managed a third demo before this first lineup broke up. Members from this lineup formed "bananafish" and then went on to join "No Use For A Name", "The Hooves", "Arch Rival" and "Rogue Cheddar." It's been through three major lineup changes since then. ANXIETY - Back with a vengeance!

Since 2000 we've had Mark Tippin on guitar (Original founder of ANXIETY) Chris Wilder on bass (STIKKY, MDC, Metalingus, Marginal Prophets, I've Never Been To Brisbane) and his brother Todd on drums (STIKKY, Inka Inka, I've Never Been To Brisbane). This lineup is an amazing combination of lyric writing and musical talent. The sound is old-school, raw and fast - with enough production to keep it interesting.
