A Z Y was born in Odessa, TX. Since birth, it would almost seem that music would play an infinate role in his life. But getting here still is and has not been an easy path. A Z Y has been through many trials and tribulations all the while trying to find a place and make his name. Growing up, he endured what a lot of unfortunate kids experience. A Z Y's father walked out on him and his mother not long after his birth. It was the first six years of his life that A Z Y would see things through the eyes of a child that no child should have to see. Drug use, abuse, and neglect. It was at a day and age when outlandish partying and drug abuse was a way of life. There were many times when A Z Y would be locked in a room upstairs while parties with his mother and friends went on downstairs. Of course, barely a child, A Z Y had no power to cease any of these activities.

It wasn't until A Z Y was about four that a father figure was introduced into his life. This strange new man was the father of his soon to be born younger brother. Of course, even though he assumed the role, this man too was also addicted to drugs and lived the party lifestyle. At about the age of six, A Z Y was taken to live with his grandmother, who took over the role of both a mother and a father. A Z Y grew up, but grew up in a world of ridicule. Mostly from the hardships of not having his parents around, but mainly just from average school bullies. But as each child does, A Z Y grew up into a world of his own. In his teens, he got into hanging with a bad crowd. He even received his first tattoo at the age of fourteen. With all the temptation, he got into drinking alcohol and smoking weed. It wasn't until A Z Y was released into the real world after graduation that he got further into the game and began to deal the dope. He learned how to hustle and make money on the Streets of Dallas, TX.

A Z Y did this for about a year or so before moving back to his hometown of Odessa. There he was promised job opportunities and a future. But then it happened, and A Z Y was forced to live on his own. A Z Y booted out of his dad's house, mainly for personal differences and was forced to live in his car. With no money and none of the job opportunities that were promised to him, A Z Y began living his life working at a local pizza hut restaurant. Two weeks of living in the city park, A Z Y's Godfather took him in and gave him a roof over his head until A Z Y got on his feet. Proving the world wrong, A Z Y managed to secure his own apartment and took up writing. About a year later, A Z Y met a young lady who at the time, was the world to him. While with her, she got him going back to church and practically helped A Z Y in altering his life for the right thing. A Z Y began to to get into the music scene with one vision. Music for your mind, music for your soul. All was well with his intro to the rap game and his relationship for about two years. Then, again, tragedy in A Z Y's life struck and his girlfriend left him for someone else.

It was these series of events that lit the fire to get A Z Y started full time in music. In 2003, he met up with a friend who would later become his business partner and with the motivation to make something better out of life, Behind Tha Glass Records was born. Now with the label established, it's only a matter of time before Behind Tha Glass makes a name and makes an impact in the music world with some of the realist music to ever hit your ears.
