Bob Elliott is a musical force living in obscurity in the foothills of central California. You would be hard pressed to find an artist with more color and imagination in their work. "Late Afternoon Sun" is a reggae, folk rock, psychedelic sort of thing which is best listened to straight through as the songs begin to blend into each other as the album proceeds. The album is a work of art.

Bob has another great album out called "The Lion and the Fox," which will be carried at CD Baby soon. He is also at work on an album called "Simple Machines," and he says he feels certain that this one is a masterpiece. It will be done in the first half of '07.

Both albums feature fine work from Matt Perez on drums and Sean Hathorn on vocals, bass and guitars and things on various songs.

Here is a quote from Bob on what exactly he is trying to do with music, "I've always felt that a home artist can produce music that equals any of the heroes who have made it big. It takes time and the recording can require a lot of learning, but in the end a homegrown album can emerge that people will play in their collection as often as they do a Marley or a Stevie or any other signed artist. That's the type of album I'm always going for, and that's about all I aim to do. The business end of things has never driven me, I have enough business to tend to in my own life. What I want are the beautiful albums. When the albums exist, I've done what I set out to do. If I get you hooked, that's what the game is about for me. Many people are hooked right now, and I'm just hoping to expand the music to more minds."
