Stopping at most of the major festivals on the way the Roosters have logged better than half a million kilometers bringing their music to audiences across Western Canada. Three things help explain The Roosters continued success. "We love what we are doing, we show up on time, and we have the coolest fridge magnets on the face of the earth." Long known for their quirky and energetic live shows The Roosters have also released 3 singles previously and received airplay on a number of radio stations but Better Laid Than Never is their first full length release. Who are the Roosters? THE BREWSTER - Bruce Meszaros (Drums, Vocals) has been playing drums for 25 years. During his many years of touring he has fronted for such headliners as Chubby Checker, Billy Joe Royal, Joe Ely, Nazareth, Johnny Rivers and performed with the Kentucky Headhunters and Wolfman Jack. During the 70âs Bruce owned and operated Collienwood Studios in Esterhazy, SK where he recorded, produced and pressed music for such notable Saskatchewan artists as Connie Kaldor, Jeff Ursell, Rob Bryanton, Rody Blanchard and many other talented artists. âMemories run long and many more are yet to come.â ROOSTER #1 - Jack Miller (Lead Vocals, Guitar) has been touring Western and Northern Canada since he formed his first working band when he was eighteen. From a country band based in Vancouver, to a 60âs tribute band in Edmonton, to a rock band working through the Feldman agency, to the R&B favourite Soul Picnic out of Saskatoon, Jack has seen, done and played it all. With his quirky sense of humour and amazing vocal range, Jack has been the ideal front man for the Roosters in many of Saskatchewanâs top venues, including an opening slot at Ryleyâs in Saskatoon with Doug and the Slugs. ROOSTER #2 - Dave Miller (Bass, Vocals) played his first bass gig in high school at age 14 after only his second lesson and he hasn't stopped in the 30 years since. Dave played in a variety of bands up and down the west coast and was one half of Minstrels on the Move, a children's entertainment duo. Dave moved to Saskatoon in 1993 where he helped found the rock band Better Off Red before joining the Roosters in 2005.
