Born in Oakland and bred in Berkeley, California, Bay Area Native,
Bumbalo, is poised on stardom with his freshman self-titled release in
Early 2007. After being an avid listener, Bumbalo began rapping in
1996 as he began high school. What started with 200-Bar freestyles
eventually led to recording music as a senior in high school in 1999.
Since then he has performed all over the Bay Area and California,
performing and recording with the likes of Mistah F.A.B., Goldie Gold
of the Federation, San Quinn, Keak the Sneak, Balance, Casual,
Heiroglyphics, Living Legends, Zion-I, Crown City Rockers, Equipto,
Bored Stiff, Jean Grae, Freestyle Fellowship, Mike Marshall, The CUF,
Sok the Virgo, Jennifer Johns and many more.
Recently, confined mostly to the studio, he has been hard at work
perfecting his album. Yet he has found time to lend his musical talent
to everything from Silicon Valley Microchip commercials, to B-horror
movie soundtracks, to surfing and windsurfing documentaries to name a
few projects.
Now with his album finished, mostly featuring production from young
up and comer producer, Asa Taccone, Bumbalo stands ready to attack the
industry with an eclectic mix of real life lyrics and top notch rhyme
flow. With an equally mixed selection of slappin' production, 2007
looks to be the year of the Bum.
