Details:
In early 2004 Bob went into the studio with Miles Vandiver (drums) and Zeb Briskovich (bass) to record his first album as a leader.  Bob originally met Miles and Zeb at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville as a student back in 1997, and they have played together in various incarnations ever since.  In December of 2003, Miles approached Bob about producing a CD of Bob's original tunes.  After just one short rehearsal during Christmas break, recording began in January of 2004. Originally the entire album was conceived as a guitar-bass-drums trio, but as the songs and arrangements evolved additions to the album lineup was made. Jason Swagler, founder of the band Commonwealth, has contributed his saxaphone voice to two of the tracks. Also featured on a couple of tracks are Reggie Thomas on keyboards and Rick Haydon on guitar, two of Bob's mentors from SIUE. Bob is also please to announce Gina Briskovich's stunning jazz percussion debut on his album. Since its release Bob Borgstede Narrative Threads has been met with rave reviews (Bob's parents). Currently Bob is finishing up the first leg of his midwest tour which has taken him from Roxana, IL all the way to Granite City, IL. Visit his website for more information on performances, clinics, book signings, political mudslinging rallies, backyard bbq's, and face paintings.
