Childsupport album âISâ recorded by David Denny in San Francisco in 1987, now is available on CD, through cdbaby.com. The original recordings were digitally mastered by Jack Endino (Seattle) in 2005. Childsupport formed in 1980 and recorded, toured and charted on college radio well beyond 1990. Childsuppport shared bills with TSOL (True Sounds of Liberty), Game Theory, The Melvins, Soundgarden, Green River, Frightwig, Red Kross, Killdozer, and many others. Childsupport received extensive coverage in the press; including BAM, The Sacramento Bee, The Sacramento Union, Valley Music News, Maximum Rock N Roll, Vinyl Propaganda, and many others. Childsupport albums were distributed throughout the independent distributor network, and all Childsupport releases are now collectible. No stranger to radio airplay and interviews, Childsupportâs music was often in the Top 35, and the band was interviewed frequently, throughout their career by (KDVS, KALX, KUSM, and many others).

âChild Support, a very surprising entry into the Bay Areaâs talent contest, seems to have it all. Every tune on IS, is well-crafted and over the course of the album, there is an abundance of fine arrangements. There are hooks pouring out of these guys ears! A very diverse LP, featuring the opening track of fine Husker-pop entitled So Accessible. A hard, hard driver neither lambasting nor praising our convenience culture. Always A Girl is as beautifully a performed and produced Indian pop raga as Sheila Chandra would create. The mastery of their acoustic instruments, including mandolin and flute, is impressive. IS even features a new-wave, throwaway, insta-hit the likes of which havenât been since the Nailsâ 88 Lines About 44 Women, here entitled Classified Information.
