Details:
I am experiencing love again to sing and to heal in an agreement with God-Spirit-The Eternal One. This Entity constantly guides me to know and express love. Through this inner guidance, I know that everyone in my life has a connection to the rediscovery of my true self as an empowered, creative being. Know that I am thankful for you who are here now and for those who are no longer in this physical world.
I am honored and grateful to sing these selections of timeless songs, written by some of the greatest lyricists and musicians that now live through my vocal interpretations. I deeply appreciate every musician with whom I have ever worked since I first stepped up to a microphone and I love listening to those of you who are playing here in these recordings. You are fine, humble people, and incredible musicians who are etched in my mind. Thank you for sharing your gifts so that we may touch the hearts of others through our joy in collaborative musical expression.
I lovingly thank my husband, Ted, for sharing his radiant heart with me and encouraging me to step into the light of my gift to sing. I also thank him for his musical expression and the countless hours he committed to producing this really amazing endeavor. We are honored and proud to share the magic of music with you.
In the Eternal Light of Love,
Connie Guy
If there has ever been a living case for reincarnation, it is Connie Guy. Connie presents the heart and soul of a true star to her audience. Connie brings alive the lyrics and melodies to songs that were popular years before her birth. A distinctive contralto with a 3 + octave range, Connie does not indulge in "vocal gymnastics" but delivers each beautiful song in her own warm, elegant, engaging style. Born in Kentucky and raised in New Orleans, Connie began singing at the tender age of five when she sang Theresa Brewerâs âLet Me Go Loverâ at the Masonic Lodge. Her spirit and style is forged through the years she performed in Mardi Gras parades, the hotels of Nicaragua, music festivals, nightclubs and country clubs, private parties and grand affairs. Touring with her husband Tedâs soul band, she entertained our Army, Navy, and Air Force bases in Alaska, Greenland, and Newfoundland. As a featured vocalist for the choral group One God One Voice, Connie performed in the White House and at the Vatican in Rome for Pope John Paul II. Since making Frederick, Maryland her home Connie has been invited to perform and appeared at many regional concerts and special events. As the featured vocalist for the Ray Birely Orchestra, Connie sang at Frederickâs 4th of July Celebration in the Park, Frederickâs Baker Park Concert Series, The Pen Mar Park Concert Series, among others. With her own group, she has appeared for The Frederick Festival of the Arts, The Mt. Airy Concert Series, and many other concerts and special events. With this CD, Connieâs wonderful gift is deservedly offered to a wider audience.
