Details:
At the age of 72, Ken Bott was finally able to realize his life-long dream to write and record an album. The Blues From Bottsville was recorded & produced by Jimi Bott, drummer for The Fabulous Thunderbirds. It also features Jim Wallace, one of Portland's most seasoned blues musicians, on harmonica as well as Marc Ford, famous guitarist for The Black Crowes & Ben Harper. Only released as a limited pressing, the CD was very well received on the west coast and in blues magazines, such as Blues Revue. Not to mention it won Ken his first professional gig at the coveted Portland Riverfront Blues Festival where he was backed by Jere (Ken's other son), Jimi and his band. Ken walked on stage, plugged in his guitar, and announced to the audience, "I'm making my musical debut at 72!" The crowd went wild and they tore the house down!
