Guitar-based instrumentals and emotional, thought-provoking songs with a progressive edge, The CS Audio Project is about one thing: composing, recording and producing original music. 6 MP3 Songs ROCK: Instrumental Rock, METAL: Instrumental Metal Details: Musician and songwriter Curt Schatz formed The CS Audio Project as a âproject which is about one thing: composing, recording and producing original musicâ. For more than 25 years, Curt has focused on expanding his musicianship and recording techniques. Hands-on experience has given him the in-depth knowledge to record his own work. From multi-track tape machines to computer-based recording, Curtâs experience in translating instruments from thought to sound to capture is limited only by imagination. This musicianship, guitar technique and recording expertise has cumulated in The CS Audio Project. Composing, recording and producing original music...all extremely evident in the latest release from The CS Audio Project - SuperSymmetric. The opening melody, âExpinaâ, is a theatrical example of the orchestration techniques and sonic delivery which awaits the listener on the rest of the CD. It creates tension and drama as it plays on movie soundtracks delivered by many of the greats such as Williams, Silvestri and Herrmann. From there, the disc transitions into track two, âOne More Dayâ. A lone guitar sets up the melody which is quickly joined by many more guitar overlays and an entire symphony. Sometimes melodic, sometimes aggressive, "One More Day" is a setting for the feelings and reflections on the thoughts of one more day; positive or negative. Track three, âSuperSymmetricâ, the title track, has a surprise around every corner. âI try to compose and record music that keeps the listener engaged and pleasantly surprised throughout the experienceâ, says Curt Schatz. âSuperSymmetricâ is a perfect example of this concept. Also, as the name implies, musical symmetry can be discovered in every niche of this tune. âI leave it to the listener to pick out all of the symmetrical aspects presented in this compositionâ, says Schatz. The fourth track, âAll Is Sorrowâ, is a based on a raw blues progression which has complex sweetening and orchestration fans have come to expect from The CS Audio Project. Named from the Buddhist belief that all earthly connections are behind the sorrow we feel in life; âAll Is Sorrowâ has a decidedly and expected melancholy feel yet flashes of other, more aggresive emotions play out as the song progresses. âThe Last Blue Skyâ, track five, is a straight ahead melodic tour-de-force which intertwines quite a few guitar styles and sounds such as electric, acoustic, â70s wah and other musical undertones to a canvas of pop-influenced beats. This piece of music is quite accessible and harmonious yet retains a raw edge in grand fashion. The last composition, âWithdrawâ is just that; a way to close out the collection with elements which are used sporadically throughout the SuperSymmetric CD, yet with a completely different approach. âSomething different around every cornerâ, is the quintessential description of âWithdrawâ. Powerful orchestration, moving emotional timbres, shredding guitar and old-school synths all combine in âWithdrawâ to envelope the listener in an every changing landscape. There is something to enjoy on every track and in every note of SuperSymmetric. The CS Audio Project continues to hone the musicianship, recording skills and production techniques which will lead the listener through a journey of twists, turns and surprises around every corner. The CS Audio Project strives to produce music which above all, will be considered, âoriginalâ. Enjoy!!! in partnership with CDbaby User tags: Votes: Reviews: Review it!
