Mark Greenberg, Drums:
One summer day, while picking tobacco, Mark came upon a magic mushroom. He ate it and had a revelation (among other things). Play drums in a band; it's the only way you're gonna meet chicks. And play he did. Mark began playing drums at age 14. His teachers included Alan Dawson, Gary Chaffee, Ed Soph and Joe Hunt. A few years later, he attended the Berklee College of Music, mostly for the fine dining, but also majored in Music Performance and actually graduated. During his stay (incarceration) there, he was recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts and awarded several grants for music study.
Since graduating from Berklee, he has performed and recorded extensively with many artists including Dickey Betts & Great Southern (Allman Brothers Band), Ratdog (Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead), The Dave Matthews Band (DMB), Joss Stone, Charlie Daniels, Dr. Didg, Roomful Of Blues, Larry Coryell, The Doobie Brothers, Roy Hargrove, Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters, Dana Fuchs, and Jimmy McGriff, among others.
He endorses Istanbul Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, Attack Heads, Montineri Custom Snare Drums, Noble and Cooley and Yamaha Drums and Kool Aid brand beverage products.
Steve Grzeskowiak, Guitar:
Everyone gets a defining moment in their life, one where events mesh together into a coherent 'gestalt', a moment of clarity that serves to define the future. After getting the opportunity relatively early in his career to open for Blues Traveler, Steve was approached by none other than Jimmy Page, master of The Stairway, in a smoke filled bar in Vancouver, B.C. At a loss for words, Jimmy finally spoke, and said; "You're really loud!" Steve, overcome with joy, thanked Jimmy heartily and gave him a big, big hug, because he knew he had received a blessing, nay, a call, from The Man with the 'Paul, a call to be really, really, loud.
Steve has since performed with Angelique Kidjo, Slam Poet Champion Patricia Smith, and Monster Mike Welch, as well as seminal Vancouver punk bands Bumpus and Non Sequitur. Educated at an institution in Boston, under the spiritual guidance of Master Guru Jon Damian, he realized his special purpose (in his words) was to "play something really cool." Tipped off by a guy at a kool-aid stand, he auditioned for "Pimp the Cat", and now happily holds the guitar chair, working for free to repay gambling debts owed the bass player. Currently residing under a toadstool in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, N.Y., Steve's contact with the "real" world is achieved only through the use of carrier pigeons and smoke signals.
